Well, for a change, the weather forecasters got it right. Last night, it was calm and in the mid-forties. Around 3am, that all changed, light rain soon turned to snow and the winds got up, blowing 30-40mph, blizzard conditions arrived just an hour or so later. I couldn't get to work in Denver (what a shame!) and by 10am, they closed I-25 from Colorado Springs up to Castle Rock. The snow finally stopped falling around 4pm, but it is still windy. We had between 12-18 inches of snow and drifts reported from 3 to 5 foot in the area. All schools were closed and the majority of banks and businesses were closed too.
Here's a few photo's I took from the warmth of the house and some I pulled from the local news website's.
Couldn't see out this morning! ...........Deck...........

This would have been about the same time i was leaving beautiful, warm Florida. It was approx 85 degrees, very low humidity. I am now back home, where it was approx 78-80 degrees, zero humidity. I am sorry for you saps...I mean poor folks.

We love this weather, you Californians are just too weak to handle Colorado weather!
The photo's finally appeared in the UK yesterday. Must have been held up by the bad weather!
